Mentoring Opportunities
There are multiple ways for mentors to participate in programming at OSM 2022. Check out the program descriptions below to learn more about each opportunity and upcoming deadlines.
ASLO Multicultural Program
The ASLO Multicultural Program (ASLOMP) continues its programming at OSM22, as it has since 1990. AGU, ASLO, and TOS members volunteer to serve as meeting-mentors for the students. Please consider sharing some of your time and energy with these outstanding students and volunteer to be a meeting-mentor. The deadline to volunteer is January 15, 2022.
Student Presentation Evaluation Program
The Student Presentation Evaluation Program (SPEP) allows student presenters to hone their presentation skills and receive valuable feedback from experienced scientists. The program relies on anonymous volunteers who view student posters or oral presentations and provide feedback about their research and communication skills. To participate as an evaluator, be sure to check this option when you register for OSM 2022.
OSM Meeting Mentor Program
The OSM Meeting Mentor Program is for students looking for guidance in navigating the meeting and making connections. Mentees will be grouped with experienced scientists (mentors) who will provide guidance and introduce them to others online. To participate, check the appropriate box when you register for OSM 2022.
